Your shortcut to clean label plant-based dairy.
But you don’t have to.
As an independent partner for companies looking to develop high-quality plant-based beverages, we supply processing aids with our proprietary enzyme mixes and consulting services in R&D, production and product quality and sales. And our field of work is global.
There are long paths from idea to a final clean label product, and there is a shortcut.

01 What we do:
End-to-end advisory for plant-based innovation.
We can be your partner all the way from idea – pilot trials – product formulation – throughout production plant – to product launch and beyond. Our extensive knowledge covers various processing technologies and raw materials, such as grains and legumes, with a constant focus on health and sustainability.

02 Enzymes and Clean label:
Custom-made enzyme mixtures for clean label oat drinks.
We create unique customised enzyme blends for the production of plant-based drinks, using a process similar to nature’s malting.
Our Avena Fibra and Avena Spuma range of enzymes is optimised and tailor-made for the healthy oat drink (and Barista)Â market, ensuring superior taste, texture, functionality and nutritional quality. This has shown to be a winning concept for our customers, the production of oat drink using Avena enzymes is now +200 million litres per year and growing.
Our process is designed such as to maintain the valuable soluble fibre of oats, called β-glucan, thus yielding a healthy drink with outstanding homogeneity and creaminess.

03 Project examples:
Consulting with a consumer perspective.

We assist you in manufacturing premium oat drinks with great taste that are tailor-made to exhibit amazing behaviour in coffee making, while preserving their healthy fibres. This superior quality is achieved by our unique enzyme technology, fine-tuning the properties of the indigenous components of the grain.
We provide you with crucial insights for the efficient design of a new manufacture line or for the optimisation of an existing production facility, and we gladly share our knowledge concerning the best use of ingredients and techniques.
We give guidance for your comprehensive and meaningful communication to the consumer, to highlight the benefits of your product on the shelf. Hence, we support you throughout conceptualization of a product idea all the way to ready consumer goods.

You can save a lot of time working with us.

05 Our Founders:
We love what we do, how we do it, and the people involved.

During her Ph.D. work in Biotechnology at Lund University, Angeliki (Angie) specialised in Enzyme Technology. She is the inventor of several patents and co-founder of Oatly where she worked for 23 years, completing her contribution as Head of Research.Â
Her long experience does not only involve the food industry and the development of innovative foods but also the academic world, as she is an author of many scientific papers in the field of Food and Nutrition.
Angie joined the founders of Cerealiq in 2019 and shares the same passion with her partners about bringing truly tasty, nutritious, and purpose-built products to customers in a global context. Her multi-disciplinary background provides important insights into business ventures and brand development that attract the modern consumer.

Emilie has been working in the food industry since she finished her MSc degree in Biotechnology in 2006. In her career as Development Engineer, Product Developer and Project Leader in companies such as Culinar, Oatly and Findus she got involved in all development stages of a wide range of food products.
Her solid experience in the development of plant-based drinks was one of the reasons Cerealiq was born in 2018. Emilie co-founded the company and brought her deep knowledge of enzymes and food processing to adapt to customer needs and help them reach their goals of producing the best oat drink.
In daily business, she spends most of her time leading the development of new enzyme mixes forward and making sure the enzyme mixing facility runs smoothly.

After completing his Industrial Engineering and Management education, HÃ¥kan worked for the Swedish packaging group PLM since 1986. From that point, he followed a long international career as Managing Director within the European packaging and polymer industry for Rexam, A&R, Amcor and Borealis.
His first contact with plant-based drinks was in 2006 when he started engaging with Oatly. In his role as consultant and COO, he developed his expertise in building oat drink plants, plant operations and process design.
Since 2016, he has been working as a consultant fulfilling the need for a high level of technical support within the emerging plant-based drinks market, which was the vision for founding Cerealiq. His hands-on experience in building and organising green field operations and running plant-based drink plants is essential to assist organisations with limited or no previous experience in manufacturing and product development of plant-based drinks.
